Officine Panerai Luminor Marina PAM 120 The Panerai Luminor Marina (PAM 120) was one of the first watches that got me into my latest phase of watch collecting. It was also my first "big" watch. At 40 mm in diameter it seemed huge when I first put it on but the case is so nicely ergonomically conceived that I was amazed at how comfortable it was to wear all day long. But what I really love about my 120 is it's readability in daylight or total darkness. The date is magnified, the numbers are large and even the seconds register is easily read by fifty year old eyes. the luminescence, a Panerai hallmark and the basis for its moniker can be seen at 10 feet in total darkness. Despite it's large links, this watch band is an absolute joy to wear and is probably the third most comfortable watch band of those that I wear. As an everyday watch it is almost as rugged as a Ball (Ball watches being without a doubt the most rugged watch on the market today)
